Privacy policy
Effective 16 October 2026
Who we are
Mothership is operated by Foto Friend Pty Ltd (ABN 49 135 954 068), Level 5, 44 Market St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia. This policy explains how we use your personal information.
What we collect
We collect account and contact details, setup and monitor content, recipient and alert-destination preferences, connection details, payment references, and usage and security information. We also collect observations from the sources you ask us to monitor. When optional tracking is enabled, we collect browser, device, campaign and approximate location information.
Cookie preferences
Essential cookies support sign-in, setup and your privacy choices. Analytics helps us understand visits and product usage; signed-in activity is associated with your account. Advertising supports campaign measurement and relevant ads. Optional tracking may be enabled by default depending on your location. You can change either preference anytime using .
How we use it
We use information to run your monitors, send alerts, manage your account and payments, provide support, improve the service and prevent abuse.
Where a legal basis is required, we process information to fulfil our contract with you, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests in security and service improvement. Optional tracking uses your consent where required.
Who we share information with
We use providers for hosting and data storage, AI analysis and source collection, alert delivery, payments and analytics. Payment providers handle card details; we do not store full card details. These providers may process information outside your country. We do not sell your personal information.
When advertising is enabled, we share contact details and browsing, interaction and conversion information with advertising partners to measure campaigns and show relevant ads.
Private setup content and monitor results are excluded from our analytics and conversion signals.
Posts view can display public content embedded from social platforms. These embeds connect your browser to the relevant platform, which may receive your IP address, browser information and the public post URL, and use its own cookies under its privacy policy. Captured results remain available in Mothership if an embedded post cannot be displayed.
Connected services and alert preferences
When you select a connected service or webhook destination, we send the monitor name, alert summary and a link to the monitor. Automation and custom webhook destinations also receive check identifiers, timestamps and matching result fields with their matching reasons. Test alerts contain example content. We keep connection information needed to deliver alerts, protect secret webhook URLs, and keep authorization tokens separate from setup conversations and AI inputs.
The destination service, people with access to its channel or workflow, and any onward services you configure may receive and retain this information. They may process it outside your country under their own terms and privacy policies. Choose destinations and audiences that are appropriate for your monitor content.
Email recipients can unsubscribe from individual monitors using the link in each email alert. You can change a monitor’s destinations or disable and remove connections in each monitor’s settings. Removing a destination stops future sends but cannot recall copies already sent to another service. Account, billing and security messages may still be sent by email.
Retention and security
Our cookies last up to one year for setup, 30 days for attribution (90 days for paid campaigns), and 180 days for your preferences.
We keep information as needed to provide the service, resolve support issues, protect against abuse and meet legal and accounting obligations. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
Your rights and contact
You can edit your monitors, recipients and alert destinations in your dashboard. You can delete your account in Settings. to request access, correction or a copy of your information. Depending on your location, you may also object to or restrict processing. You can withdraw tracking consent using . We may verify your identity and retain records where legally required. We aim to respond to privacy complaints within 3 days.
Updates
We will publish changes here and update the effective date. We will give notice of material changes where appropriate.
